1. Who we are
QuikTip is operated from Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data we collect from recipients (service workers using QuikTip to receive tips) and tippers (their customers).
2. What we collect
For recipients: your email address, display name, profile photo (if you provide one), and the information you share with Stripe to receive payouts. We do not see or store your bank account details — Stripe handles that.
For tippers: the tip amount, payment method, and any optional message you leave. We do not collect your name, email, or address unless you provide them voluntarily. We do not see your card details — Stripe handles that.
3. How we use your data
- To process tips through Stripe.
- To show recipients their tip history in their dashboard.
- To send essential service emails (account confirmations, payout notifications).
- To detect fraud and abuse.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
4. How long we keep it
Account data is kept for the lifetime of your account. Tip records are kept for 7 years to comply with UK tax law. Optional tipper messages are auto-deleted after 24 months.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@quiktip.co to make a request.
