This is a placeholder set of terms. The final document will be reviewed by counsel before QuikTip's public launch. The following describes our current intent and is not legally binding.
1. What QuikTip is
QuikTip is a payment facilitation service that lets service workers receive tips from their customers. We integrate with Stripe Connect — Stripe processes the actual payments and holds your balance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction. v1 of QuikTip is only available to recipients based in the United Kingdom.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We use Apple, Google, or email-based magic-link sign-in — there are no passwords to share. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Fees
Recipients pay no monthly fee. Tippers cover the payment processing fees by default. See our pricing page for the current schedule.
5. Payouts
Payouts are processed by Stripe to the bank account you connect. By default, Stripe pays out daily; you can change this schedule in your Stripe Express dashboard.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use QuikTip to:
- Receive payments for prohibited goods or services under Stripe's policies.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Facilitate money laundering or fraud.
- Violate any applicable law.
7. Termination
You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@quiktip.co. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Limitation of liability
QuikTip is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the platform fees paid by or to you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; if we do, we'll notify recipients by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.
