Frequently asked

When do I get paid?
Tips land in your Stripe balance immediately. QuikTip releases your tips automatically once your accumulated platform fees cover our costs — by default on a monthly schedule, anchored to your signup date. You can switch to fortnightly or weekly from your dashboard if you'd prefer more frequent payouts. You can also request an early payout at any time; if your fees haven't yet reached the threshold, a small fee (typically 90p–£2.50) applies. That fee comes out of your subsequent tips — your customers always pay the same amount.
Why don't you charge a subscription?
We earn a small platform fee on each tip, paid by the tipper. That keeps things simple — no fixed cost to worry about on a quiet week.
What if I want to refund a tip?
Refunds are rare on tips, but they happen. Email us and we'll sort it via Stripe. A full refund returns the total charged amount to the tipper.
Are you available outside the UK?
Not yet. We're launching in the UK first; the Republic of Ireland is next on the list.
